I have completely forgotten just where it was that I read about the demonstrations that Tim Bowers will be giving at the NDC convention.

I am interested in attending, and I'm sure that I should let the organisers know sooner than later (I guess it is later :P ).

Does anyone know if I should be contacting someone regarding this issue prior to arriving at the convention?

BTW...plans are all set for the "Polish Convoy" coming from Louisville...really looking forward to it, and to seeing you all there! 8)

It probably wouldn't hurt to shoot Nancy Dubas a quick email indicating your interest. Hopefully I'll be hearing from the committee soon with a close number of people that are interested.

So, the plan is this; 2 "demos"/hands on opportunities; one doing woodgraining using a couple of different techniques, and another dinging/straightening stainless and aluminum trim.

Woodgraining will involve using artist oil and oil based ink, which can easily spread from the parts to the people. We'll have latex gloves but you probably want to wear something other than what you plan to wear to the banquet.

Stainless repair just involves light hammers/files/sandpapers (the part I'm going to show, anyway. Not quite as messy, but still......

Tim

It's supposed to be fun!

Thank you for the reply, Tim!

I will send Nancy the e-mail tonight.

And...I will bring some old clothes as I'm sure I'll get stuff everywhere! :P

I have some stainless parts coming my way, so I'm interested in how to make them look their best.

And I plan on using the woodgraining techniques to turn my Smart Car into a woody! :P (Just kidding!)

See you there!

I found that the buffing and polishing of the stainless trim takes the MOST TIME to do. Fixing the dings was the easiest part, although that isn't very quick either...
