I just thought I'd share this picture to give us all some hope for the continuation of the hobby.
Tabetha is a graduate of McPherson College's Auto Restoration Program and I met her there when I was on the faculty.
Tabetha now works for Hagerty Insurance and is heavily involved in developing and administrating their Youth Advocacy Program. What you see here is a youth judging team for what might be the Glenmoore Gathering of Significant Automobiles.
Hopefully that's a bunch of future antique car enthusiasts!
It's supposed to be fun!

That is great news, Tim! There is hope after all! Thank you for posting this.
Maybe we at the NDC could start a tuition fund to send a youngin' to McPherson.
It is one pricey place to enroll, and we know that there are a lot of mechanically gifted young people out there from families with modest means. Hmmm...how do you make a "motion" for the NDC Board to consider this?
If I was a young person, this is one of the places that I'd consider going fer sure!

Tim, we had the Haggerty Youth group judge at our Concours On The Bluff show in St. Joseph, MI last year. They seemed to take this seriously and made a very good selection for their car of choice. We don't have a lot of younger people attending our conventions but it would be nice if one of our experienced judges would work with them as a group and let them select a car. Or, let each child shadow one of the judges while they are judging and have them explain what they are looking for and what is correct, or not, on our cars. Les
Great idea, Les!
I'm sure that many of us have been to car shows where there was a "Kids' Choice" trophy or two awarded. Specialty shows seem to do this often.
