Does anyone know where I can get gas tank straps to replace the ones that broke when I removed my tank? I need them for the 1940 and my 47 Suburban.
Andy Bernbaum sells tanks with the straps, You might contact him and see if he sells them by themselfs You can contact them at oldmoparts, com

Thanks Paul. I posted another notice because I didn't see this one anymore. Guess my computer runs a little slow. How do I remove the new one?!!
I don't know how to remove it, but if you leave it on more people will see it and you might get more answers.

Which part of the straps broke? If you have all the bits and pieces, sometimes new can be fabbed up in a reasonable time compared to chasing junk yard parts that also might need work.
It's supposed to be fun!
1949 De Soto Custom Convertible (project)
Found an old Kanter catalog and they sell tanks and straps both together and separately.
Hola Yo'al
It is the same part for any S-11 Series or Crashler's Royal/ Windsor.
