PLAN TO CHANGE SPARK PLUGS IN MY 1950 DESOTO. WHAT PLUGS SHOULD I USE? WOULD LIKE A HIGHER HEAT RANGE,AS I TAKE THE CAR FOR SHORT AROUND TOWN DRIVES.

What kind are in there now? I would just take one to NAPA and ask for the next higher heat range plug, if available. My two old Chilton's manuals list the plugs as AL-AR5 and AL-A7 (Autolite?) In the margin I have written Champion J-8, but I don't think they make those anymore. John Lynn , former '49 owner

I recently replaced plugs in my '46- Napa sold me Champion RJ12C . When I got it it had 5 Champion J-11 and one AC 45 in it! Crazy!
