Sometimes correspondence with other forum members is more appropriate to go through Private Messages (PM) rather than over the entire discussion forum.
If you'd like to send another member a PM, below are some steps and images I hope will be helpful. There are several ways to get around finding a member to send a message to, so consider the information below "one way" to get 'er done. Follow the text and the corresponding image below the text.
One quick way to send a PM to a forum member is to find a post by that member. At the bottom of their message, you'll find a "PM" button that will take you directly to the window to compose a message. (image PM page eight)
If you don't have a message from the member to start from, , use the "members" tab at the upper right of your screen when you are in the Message Board (image PM Page 1)
After you click on the Members tab, you'll have an opportunity to "find a member" (image PM Page 2)
Enter the USER NAME of the person you want to message and click the search button (image PM Page 3)
Below the search criteria you'll find the results of your search, and a button to push to create a PM (image PM Page 4)
After clicking the PM button a window will open for you to compose your PM. Notice your selected recipient is already in the "To" field. You can also add more members usernames in the window circled in green. Compose your text in the area provided (yellow text shown) (image PM Page 5)
After writing your message, press the preview, submit, save, or cancel button depending on your preference. (image PM Page 6)
Your message will remain in your outbox until the message is opened. (notice in image 5 that I have 2 messages I sent that have never been opened by my recipient...)
Notice that at the top left of your browser window where your log-in status is indicated that you have notifications as to whether there are PMs in your mailbox. (image PM Page 7)
It's supposed to be fun!
