Wednesday ‐ Welcome
• Club stores and registration room open.
• A social hour with hors d’oeuvres from
5:00 – 7:00.
Thursday Morning – Bus Tour
St. Paul in the 1930s was a haven for Chicago gangsters. We will tour the
hideouts and hangouts of some of the most infamous – John Dillinger,
Baby Face Nelson, the Barker Gang and Machine Gun Kelly.
Time later on Thursday afternoon
and evening for DIY tours. Examples:
• 20 minutes to the Mall of America – world’s largest shopping mall – over
500 stores, an aquarium and an indoor amusement park (the hotel has a
schedule)
• Outdoor fun – golfing, two zoos (Como Zoo & Conservatory in St. Paul is
FREE), MN Twins Baseball
• Exercise – many lakes in the metro area have walking paths around them
• Museums – In St. Paul: Science Museum, MN History Museum, Children’s
Museum In Minneapolis: Institute of Arts, Walker Art Center, Weisman
Art Museum. Many more small museums around the Metro area
• Walking tours of either downtown for sightseeing and local color
• Historic Fort Snelling – first white settlement in Minnesota in 1820s
• Liele Log House Village in Hastings – antiques and old vehicles
• Tailgating and a movie or two at the drive‐in theater
Friday – Stllwater, MN
for a riverboat ride and town visit
This will be a driving tour to Stllwater, MN, about 13 miles from our hotel. Azer the riverboat ride,
people will be free to explore this charming tourist town. Voted “Best Small Town” in Minnesota,
there are many quaint shops, cafes, historic architectural landmarks, parks and an$ques galore.
Friday Evening Possibilities
• The History Cruzers of North St. Paul have a
car show/street fair every Friday night during
the summer. Our group could be “Club of the
Night”. Nine miles from hotel.
• Alan and Maria Ralston have offered to host a
hot dog roast/ ice cream social at their home
in Mendota Heights. FiZeen miles to the
Ralstons’ house.
• Visit a private car collection.
Saturday – Car Show
• Adjacent car shows (each club will have its own)
10:00 to 3:00. Site TBD, either the 400 space hotel
parking lot or nearby park. Catered lunch.
• Swap meet in conjunction with show, near show
grounds.
• 3:00 to 6:00 ‐ relax a bit and prepare for a fun
evening.
• Happy hour 6:00‐7:00. Banquet dinner and awards
ceremonies 7:00 – 10:00. Depending on the turnout,
clubs may have separate banquets/awards.

On Sunday, there is usually a Farewell breakfast.
One small correction to what Rick posted - the Mall of America is NOT the world's largest shopping mall; it's the USA's largest shopping mall. Canada has (at least) one mall that is larger - I think it's in Edmonton.
