Would the rear fender for a 1956 4 door hardtop be the same as the four door sedan?

Mine has been repaired a few times and might benefit from replacing.
( if one coul be found)

thanks

Several years ago we were working on a '56 Plymouth 4 door hardtop that had a crushed passenger quarter panel. We bought a used quarter from a sedan to put in its place.

There were several differences that meant that it wasn't an "exact" replacement, however with some modifications, it was going to work. The owner came to his senses I guess, and decided the car was too far gone for his budget, so the project was halted.

Easiest of course would be to find a quarter from a 4 door hardtop.

Anybody want to buy a '56 Belvedere 4 door hardtop? Restoration started!

It's supposed to be fun!

Tim
You're the best and your realistic answers really help those of us who have great aspirations for restoration and yet offer a practical view.

Since mine is not crushed, but poorly repaired will cause me to evaluate the worth.

Have a great convention.

I've saved my convention activites this year for the Studebaker one at Mecca (South Bend) DeSoto next year
