I just installed a Pertronix ignition system on our 59 Firesweep. Do I need to bypass the ballast resistor for easier starting? Thanks.
I would call Pertronix to check on this. I understand you can burn it up if not wired right.

The little wiring diagram that came with the one we just received shows wire routing both ways.... "with" the resistor, and without.
