It is with regrets that I inform you of the passing of longtime NDC member Lester Underwood. According to his obituary, he died peacefully at home on 2 July with his family near him. Viewing will be at the Wise Funeral Home in Bucyrus, OH, from 2 to 6 pm Sunday, 7 July, and from 10 to 11 am Monday, 8 July, prior to his funeral at 11 am.
Lester and his family have a large collection of antique vehicles, which includes a 1954 De Soto FireDome Coronado, as well as being very mechanically knowledgeable. He and his family hosted more than one Buckeye Chapter meeting, either at their farm or at Aumiller Park in Bucyrus.
Going out in style, the family plans to use Lester’s 1916 Maxwell truck to take him from the funeral home to Oakwood Cemetery.
