I am in need of one. I have a '51 custom and my spare will not hold air because of the stem not being exact. Anyone out there have one for sale? Thanks! Please contact me through here or email is better.. christophercettina@gmail.com
Chris, I went through the same thing. I believe it ended up that any tire shop has the "fatter" tire stems that take care of the wider oval hole.

I had the same problem and my small town guy used valve stems for farm equipment. It had a larger base and fatter stem. While he was at it I lightly scraped any gunk away from the oval opening inside and out. Wiped with alcohol, applied RTV and now good to go.
