Our 47 is on the road again after over 50 years, WE drove it for the first time today. The transmission takes some getting use to but it works good. I will post pictures later. Now we can start enjoying it.

That's great! The car must have been "13-18 yrs old" when it stopped being used? Of course, I realize that cars back then were probably good for maybe 15 years and around 100,000 miles and by that time... they were shot. Today... it's nothing to buy a car 15+ year old and still be a good car. My '56 Adv. stopped being driven on the road at 20 yrs! and had just 100,000 miles on it. The reason he stopped driving it was because the camshaft was SHOT. Front 2 lobes were almost round. It must have had a horrible miss to it. So, in '56 it was bought new, then in '76 it came off the road, in '96 I bought it!
