If you replaced your shoes you need to do what is called a major adjustment. First back off the adjusters you have been playing with until there is no drag. The bottom anchor bolts need to be turned until a very, very light drag is felt. Then do the minor adjustment by turning the top adjuster cams downwards until a slight drag is felt. On the rear wheels this will mean one will be turned clockwise and the other counterclockwise. Again, I strongly recommend going to the Imperial Club site and finding this procedure in the repair section. The park brake adjustment is done by setting the proper clearance on the brake drum at the rear of the transmission. Loosen the cable adjustment nut with the brake handle in the off position. Adjust the brake band then adjust the cable. If the cable isn't seized the brake should hold and release now. http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Lit/ ... /index.htm
