We made it to the McPherson College Car Show.
The HiWay Hifi was a big hit. I kept playing it and then ended up needing a jump start to get off the field.
And, we were pleased to be recognized 1st in Class and also Best of Show.
It's supposed to be fun!

Looks better than new.
Congrats Tim on a fine job.
Your sharing of the process has helped many of us and is certainly appreciated

I like your "wording"... "Off to a good start!"... you mean off to a good "JUMP" start! HAHA
Is the car all done? or did you have to do any tweaks? It looks absolutely GREAT! My Hats off to you!

Congratulations, Tim!
The car looks wonderful; you've done such a great job of preserving this fine car for future generations to enjoy.
I'm looking forward (pun!) to seeing the car in person this year, hopefully at the NDC convention.
Thumbs way up!
"off to a good (jump) start"....... why I oughta......
Jim, you caught me; except for the 2 cars you can see in the background the DeSoto was the only other car........
Actually, it was a very nice show with over 200 cars. The college has done an awesome job of creating a great event; something that isn't necessarily easy to do these days with so many choices. There were at least 2 other towns in the area with car shows, along with a pretty big swap meet in Lawrence on the same day.
It helps to have the support of so many groups like the Heritage Foundation, (Hagerty...) Hagerty Insurance, the Mercedes Historical somethin somethin somethin....
Wayne Carini of "Chasing Classic Cars" was the featured guest for the weekend, and was filming all week for a future episode to be aired this fall.
Are they ever done? Monday morning I made a full page list of things yet to do; some things to do better, some things to finish. Plus we have 0 miles on the car. Hope to have around 500 by the time the convention rolls around.
Yes, the plan is to come to Chattanooga!
The owner's brother wanted a "Last Supper" like pose in front of the car, but this is the best we could do. Not enough disciples, and nobody had the audacity to volunteer to be Jesus...
