Besides "Made in USA", I can't find any other markings on the fuel pump that is on our '56 Adventurer engine. Honestly, I'm not used to seeing aftermarket fuel pumps that have glass bowls, so I'm wondering if this is the original pump?
I was about to box it up to send out for rebuild, but there's no point in doing that if it's not the original.
Thanks for any input,

Tim, the fuel pump looks like one I bought for my 53. I have a different style on the car now because I did not protest when the rebuilder sent me a style without the bowl. It ended up getting me upset that I let him get away with it. So I subsequently found an NOS one and it has the bowl like my original had.
Thanks, Paul.
So you're saying that you sent a pump to a rebuilder and then didn't get your pump back?
If that's the case, do you mind sharing who the rebuilder was?

Tim, I would have to go through a lot of receipts. It may not have been a rebuilder - it could have been Kanter's or Bernbaum's in which case I would have to send them a core back. I sent it back but I must not have had the time and maybe thought there were different styles. But later I checked it out further. I would not think that your 56 would have a glass bowl.
Lesson Learned - make sure you are going to get your core rebuilt and returned to you if you care. If you don't, you may get something that looks different and may not be in as good a shape. This is probably applicable to fuel pumps, water pumps, generators, starters, brake cylinders, and brake master cylinders - probably trans and engines also. One guy even painted a rebuilt water pump for the DeSoto black. It is like they need a Scope of Work and agree to it first.
