According to the dealer site this car is "carfax" verified. So I guess that should answer all your questions!

It seems Carfax doesn't recognize the old VIN.
The instructions read;
The VIN must be from a car or light truck manufactured for the North American market since 1981.
This 1955 DeSoto came out of Florida.
I thought maybe Dan Lyman or one of the Sunshine folks might know if it was a member's car.
