I am sad to inform the members of the NDC that Mr. Robert Donatucci from Philadelphia, PA passed away on November 10th. Bob was an avid collector of Mopar and Desoto's. Bob was a Co-Chairmain for the 13th Annual Convention that was held in Valley Forge PA.
Bob had one of the few remianing example of the firefite which was the gocart model that was availble in the 50's.
Bob was a member of the Pa State Representactives and represented the residents of South Philly for 30 Years.
He is survided by his wife MAria and a son and daughter. If you had the pleaseure of meeting and or knowing Bob he would try to helpout when ever asked. He will be missed and please say a prayer for his family and wife.
Rich Hartung
Chairman of the 13th NDC Convention
Had he been sick for a while?
I have been trying to contact him for a year, emails, phone calls and letters went un-answered. I was trying to find the guy that restored his Firemite so I could get parts for mine.
He was a nice guy and avid collector, that will be missed.
Bob was 58 years old and from the article that was inthe paper it sounds as if he was having sleep apneia issues and was undergoing so sleep disorder testing.
Bob willbe buried this saturday and any and all flower or donations have been requested to send donations to the Rober Donatucci fund at Temple University in behalf of his family.
Lee I am sorry but I do not have any answers to who helped him resotre the firemite

Sorry to hear this. He was a great guy and will be missed. I had been to his house met his family. He also took me to a couple of his garages with his collections and he was happy to show them to me.
(Sorry this post is 'late' but I haven't been to the boards lately)
