Can anyone recommend a wire type/gage for the manual seat adjustment link between the left and right seat mechanisms? Should it be solid or woven/braided? I’ve got a 1955 Fireflite, though I’d assume this would be pretty standard across all years.

I don't know where you would buy one... but my 1956 DeSoto has a solid wire. Not braided. Maybe David Frank has a used one? The one photo shows what the little "sleeve" traps the wire end.

You  could probably make one using a high tensile wire bought at your local hardware store.

It's supposed to be fun!
