When I was checking the fluid level from the transmission, I removed the cover on the floor board on the right side of the transmission hump.
Coincidentally I noticed that the component, which I have marked with a red arrow, not stuck.
I can easily unscrew it by hand. Is this normal? And where is this component for?
Alex, the part is the governor. It has a set of points that open and close by centrifugal force to complete the circuit when the car gets enough speed to let it shift. I don't know if it is supposed to turn by hand but I wouldn't think so. Les
