"Trade my 1955 Desoto for equal value.... 291 Hemi, Automatic. Trade for jeep, Mercedes, convertibles, etc..."
I didn't see a phone number so I'm guessing it's email only (contact through Craigslist, I mean).

I've seen this listed for the past two years on Craigslist. The owner had rebuilt the car as a show car, thus the purple shades. He was asking $25,000 to start, no idea what he wants now.
That's a bit much.
I checked out of curiosity and saw somewhere between $10000-15000 for a #2 car (although the bolt rust I saw in the pics might make is a #3, I'm not sure how it all works).
Guessing by the quality of his home and proximity to a golf course, I'm guessing he didn't get where he is today by being generous
I'm really only interested in '42-'49 so figured I'd pass along a listing to what looks like a decent vehicle.
You can't really say that it's a #2 or #3 car because it's a hot rod. Those values only apply to a correctly restored car. He likely has lots of $$$ into it and is trying to get his money back. Since he doesn't tell us much in the ad and doesn't supply many photos, then he will probably have this for sale for a long time.
