If anyone runs across a set of front spring from a 1949 or 1950 and can read the part number which is stamped on the open coil end (bottom) on the side and is stamped sideways with the last number in chisel marks, let me know. I am trying to figure out what and why they changed the springs at about car 22,000.
I am also looking for a set of the later springs. I want to put them in a press and figure out the different load valves as opposed to the earlier springs.
If anyone has a set or happens across a set let me know.
Thanks, James
