In the November 2010 issue of "Cars & parts", Dave Duricy has a couple of nice articles that have De Sotos in them. The first one is about Bob Justice's 1956 Firedome Seville 4-dr hardtop. This is the car that won 2nd place in its class this year at our National convention. The article has several nice photos and tells the interesting history of this car.
The other article is about the 2010 WPC annual meet that was held in Dayton, OH. There are no photos of any De Sotos since the only one registered was Justice's. But Dave does include that our president emeritus Greg Walters was seen looking over a '59 Firesweep Sportsman, which belongs to NDC member Eric Schneider of Waynesville, OH. Also, one of the photo captions state that, "...1950 De Soto Custom club coupe, and 1948 De Soto sedan." were spotted in the parking lot. The '50 belongs to Dave Printz, and the '48 Custom is mine.
So, if you don't already have a copy of this issue, you may want to rush out and get one while supplies last. (And no, I don't get any kickbacks from either C&P nor Dave when I brag about his articles.)
It is also the very last issue of "Cars & Parts" ever. Just another reason to run out and buy one.
Have a nice day
Steve
