Years ago I got the build sheet for the 1947 Desoto Suburban from Chrysler. On it they listed Boner motors in Santa Barbra as the dealer the car was sent to.

Today while working on the '49 CV, in my little garage here in San Francisco, a man walked up and started to chat about Desoto's. Turns out his father owned Boner Motors in Santa Barbra and he has memories as a kid of the dealership in the late 1940's and early 1950's.
What a small world. He said his sister has piles of old family photos. I asked him if they have any photos of the dealership, I would love a scanned copy of one.
He was visiting his daughter who has an apartment in the neighborhood as he lives down toward LA. What are the odds?

That IS a coincidence.
Good things happen to those who love DeSotos.
