This question is to the current board members:
Is the NDC registered as a NON Profit organization and is this indicated in our current by-laws?
Question was raised regarding if we might need a PA sales and tax According to the PA sales and tax literature certain non profit organization can qualify for PA sales tax exemptions by completing an application form REV-72 by the organization needs to provide its Articles of Incorporation or bylaws and current financial statement.
So we need to get an answer to this question before Hershey.p

Rich,
I'm sure that we are a non-profit entity, but you'd need to confirm with Les Pesavento and/or Dennis Pitchford to be sure.
As an FYI, the May/June issue of De Soto Adventures contains a blurb about our Hershey effort with your contact info. I would hope you'll get a whole lot more response from it.
I can't make the convention but already have Hershey on my calendar.
Keep up the great effort!
Geoff:
I will contact Dennis and Les to see if we are registered as Non -Profit and to see if we can get a copy of the documentation stating this.
Rich Hartung
Rich,
The NDC is registered as a 501c7 - I never can remembe what all that means. I would think that we wouldn't have to pay any PA sales tax to people who are joining the club. But if we sell t-shirts, hats, copies of past club magazines, etc., then I think that PA will wants its tax share of the sales.
