Many of the cars on that page were made in Detroit.
They were made on the Plymouth assembly line as an export only model. And sent far away places like Cuba and Hawaii. Another segment of them like my 56 UTE were made in Australia and they also made them in Europe. South Africa received the CKD (Complete Knock Down) and did final assembly in S.A. Desoto trucks were of course made on the Dodge Truck assembly line and were badged as Desoto's for export markets.
In South Africa they made a Desoto Passenger car through 1963 and Desoto Trucks are still being made in Turkey
