How hard is it to remove the ignition switch in a 47 coupe?
Without having any information in front of me, removing an ignition switch "usually" requires removing the lock cylinder first. That is often done by turning the cylinder with the key to the accessories position, and then pushing in a spring loaded detent using a straightened paper clip. If that is the case with your cylinder, you'll find a little hole in the cylinder in the vicinity of the key slot. After pushing in the spring, you should be able to turn the lock cylinder beyond its usually stopping point going counter clockwise and then the cylinder can be pulled out.
Once the cylinder is out, then the actual ignition switch would come out from behind the dash. How that is held in can vary quite a bit from a simple set screw to 2 or more machine screws.
