Need a new ignition switch for my 1958 Firesweep. Saw one on E-Bay but it said for cars with the 3 speed transmission. My car has the Power-Flite tranny. Can anyone shed any light on this for me. Thanks so much.

The parts book is quite confusing, but it does appear the ignition switch is different for cars with the three speed torqueflite transmission as opposed to the two speed powerflite. I believe the original part number for your application was 1838984. This number was superceded by #1841167. If ordering from a dealer, I would confirm this as being correct. Mac

Hi, Bill - have you asked John Fowlie about that part. He has a car parts business and yard in California.
