Just wanted members to know about the great race coming to Cape Girardeau on Tuesdaym June 25th. Approximately 100 cars, from 1900 into the 1960's are travelling from St. Paul MN to Mobile AL. They will start arriving in Cape about 4:30 - 5:00 PM on June 25th, overnight, and then proceed to Germantown TN on the 26th. If you live in a radius of100 miles from Cape in IL, TN, KY, AR, or SE Missouri, it will be a good chance to see the old cars parked adjacent to the mighty Mississippi!
Good places for shopping, eating, etc. close to where the cars will be parked.
I'm hoping to have the 36 Desoto ready to park with our clubs cars and help the race organizers park the cars, etc.
Could be a chance to see a lot of good old mostly original cars that are not garage queens.

Which means if they can drive from Saint Paul to your place --- you
can drive to Lake Elmo this July.
There is a class for you when you arrive ( even if you do not use Over-
drive yet ).

I wish!! My wife had a stroke in June, and is still in recovery.....travel over 45 -50 miles is not included in the recovery process. I take my lipstick edition 76 Mark IV to local shows, usually no more than 30 miles away, and try to stay active in our local car club. I'm pretty excited about getting the 36 ready to park with the other club cars when we welcome the Great Race people to Cape Girardeau.
We would both love to come up your way if possible, even if not for the "show", just to be able to go on the road again! ( I think Willie Nelson said that! )
Thanks for the invitation/Bob
