Hey again! I have a question. I'm not getting any heat inside the cabin. I removed the heater core and with garden hose i have water go in one tube and out the other. So my question is even with water in and out, no leaks, can the heater core still be bad? '51 desoto. Tim
Testing with a hose always "worked" for me.... but that being said, there is NO pressure on the core when just shooting water through it. I think it could be possible to have a mini leak that won't show up when just running water through it. Did you spot any anti-freeze in the heater box or floor??
Jim
A little bit of antifreeze I had get loose when I worked the hose off. But no leak found yet.
I would probably use it then. LOOK to see for any 'crusty' areas as they may be a problem spot, but other than that, I would put it back in. Of course, this is my opinion.

I found a local radiator guy.. He pointed out a lot of that crusty you mentioned. Also some internal blockage. He will get back with me soon.
Keep us posted!
