At a museum in Iowa city they have a 1936 Desoto Airflow parked right next to a 1939 German built Hanomag and it sure looks like they took the styling influence from the airflow series. Except for the center roof ridge and dual windows remind me of a Sleestack from the TV series land of the lost.
