My car has been sitting since Memorial Day Parade, and today, I tried to start it up by splashing some gas in the carbs, and it would run ONLY until that gas ran out. So, it seems that the Carter Fuel Pump stopped working :x on my '56 DeSoto Adv. 341 HEMI. It is #M2241S and I was wondering if there are Rebuild Kits available for these? I haven't read any posts about this... at least lately. I didn't take it apart yet because I wanted to see if anything was "out there" first. After I removed the pump, I DID test it by inserting the hose in a cup of gas, and then I worked the lever by hand. Nothing happened except I could hear 'air'... Most likely the diaphragm went out on it because of the Ethanol...

OR... what "new" style pump works?

Thanks Roger, I feel silly now... That post was only back in Aug.

Anyway, I am sure I will find something now! Thanks!
