I might have a leak in one or more freeze plugs on my 1956 Desoto Firedome Sportsman. 331
how accessible are these without removing components?
Any recommendations on type of replacement plugs?
Mike, I am not real familiar with the 56. I do have a 53 and I am thinking you should be able to see the freeze plugs on your 56. They will probably not be easy to get to to remove. Then you will need to clean up the hole and tap the new one into place. The access will be difficult to perform.
First - the good part of this is - YOU should be able to see if any of them are leaking.
