The following was e-mailed to the NDC Trustees:
"To all DeSoto fans,
We will be setting up at the Hershey flea market next week (Oct.10-12) We have a great collection of auto literature including some nice DeSoto catalogs and booklets. We have a huge selection which includes many makes- domestic and older imports. This material is new to the market having come out of an old private collection. Stop by and say "Hi" if you have time. Our booth is near the middle of the Chocolate Field-- C4Y-16.
Please forward this information to anyone who might be interested.
Linda and Carroll Swam"
Let me make it clear that neither I nor the NDC are endorsing this vendor - I do not know the Swams. And, unfortunately, I will not be at Hershey this year. But for those of you who will be at Hershey this year, I thought that you'd like to know about this vendor. Remember, buyer beware.

This is the first time I've heard about the Hershey flea market. Sounds like I will be making the trip there every year, scrounging for hard to find parts, hah. Looks like a big and fun event!
Related to Desoto literature, has anyone ever tried to make a centralized database of Desoto knowledge? Perhaps a free wiki page on Wikia, where club members could add their knowledge for others to view 24/7. It could contain articles about everything related to Desoto's (by year, model, etc) imaginable such as specifications, color codes, serials, etc. Transfer the expertise of your many members and officers into digital format. Perhaps links to downloadable brochures, service manuals, etc. How-to's and more.
Once it's set up, members can add their own content which will be peer reviewed. If setting it up is too much of a hassle, I'd be happy to do it for you. I'd just make a club account there, set it up, and pass the account to the trustees so that you could change the password, administrate, and moderate the wiki.
