If you don't get Hemmings Classic Car magazine, you may want to go out and get a copy of the March issue. In it is an eight-page article about pre-WW II De Sotos. This is followed up with a six-page article about a 1942 De Luxe four-door sedan. (And there are some other articles too - like a Drive Report on a 1948 Tucker, and the first car to be used by a US President while in office, Taft's 1909 White Model M steam car.)

In last month's issue, there was an article about pre-WW II American cars in Europe. It stated that De Sotos in England were called Richmonds (and Plymouths were called Wimbledons.) I had never heard this before. I looked in our club roster, but didn't see any Richmonds listed even though we do have a several members in England/Scotland/UK. I wonder if there are any Richmonds still around?

Bill
