Just an FYI and an apology.
The March/April issue of our De Soto Adventures magazine is currently in final proofing and will be shipped to the printer early next week.
In spite of Dan Lyman's constant reminders & prodding, I was unable to finalize this issue until earlier this week. Late magazines drive him crazy and make me feel bad as well. Once again, it was the situation of "Life Happens".
For all of you visitors, DeSoto Adventures once again garnered the coveted Old Cars Weekly "Golden Quill" award and comes with the NDC membership at no additional charge. Most will pay way more for a magazine subscription alone, so it is of great benefit to join the club.
Thanks for your patience and understanding,
Geoff Overley, Editor
De Soto Adventures Magazine
Why don't you make it available online as a PDF ? That way, we won't have to wait for ancient technology to happen.
Ron
Hi Tim,
I agree with Ron.
Why not have the magazine available to download... with a choice to receive either the hard copy/online version, or both?
Also, here in the UK, we have the Mopar Muscle Association(MMA).
http://www.moparuk.com
On their website, members can access various forums including adverts for parts/parts wanted, cars for sale, etc.
I can post items for sale immediately which may be beneficial to members looking for hard to find parts now, rather than waiting for the magazine to come out.
I think an online parts forum/cars for sale etc, would benefit all of us.
By the way, this is not a criticism... I really like the magazine and look forward to it's arrival in my post box.
Best regards
Mick
Apologies...I meant to address that to you Geoff.
Regards
Mick
Mick -
I'm glad I'm not the only one with this opinion.
As a side note, if the club is truly interested in attracting younger members, they need to get with the times, technology-wise.
Ron
A tip of the hat to Geoff and Dan for their work on the newsletter
It has been many years since we have received a Golden Quill from OCP
