There was a lot of previous talk here about the convention choice for hotel, The Crowne Point Mission Valley Hotel in San Diego. I just returned home from this convention and must report that this hotel was EXCELLENT! The Hawaiian theme was fabulous. The view on both sides of our hotel room was exceptional. The hotel employees were nothing short of fabulous and were very helpful. The noise level was very good in the rooms (our room and all convention rooms) plus outside in the courtyard or anywhere on the lot. There was a little road noise outside in the parking lot in front, but not in back. I thought our car show lot was a bit small, but we did not have a huge number of vehicles. Anyone that missed this convention due to the remarks made about the Crowne Point Mission Valley Hotel did themselves a disfavor. Due to the diligent work of our fearless leader, John Boyd, and the fabulous setting of this hotel and the most gracious staff, this convention was a roaring success. Just sayin.... Glad to hear the good news but sorry that some of the previous comments may have caused a decrease in attendance. Hopefully our 2018 convention in Branson, MO will be very successful.
Being in the Midwest, there may be an attraction for members from all over the USA and even Canada.

I know that I will not be able to make next years convention because my oldest daughter will be getting married on August 25th, 2018.
Seems that the convention date is real late in the year and if anyone has school kids then they would be not able to attend the convention. Some of the school district start school around the same time.
