I guess theoretically I could. I'm still in the learning stage, and to do really nice ones I'd probably need to invest in a vacuum pump.
It would be a great second income for someone. It just baffles me that no one in this country is making our lenses. It isn't rocket science. I know a total moron in Atlanta that impressed himself on his first try

I think you should go for it. Lots of us DeSoto folks need to freshen up our lenses a tad...along with other things. 
How do you make red lenses? Colourant in the molding material, or dye at some later stage?

They sell little bottles of liquid coloring dye, such as transparent red. It is added while mixing the resin to be poured into the mold.
