Rick:
If any of the NorCal DeSoto Club would like to tour, please invite them.
Recently, the Tour Directors of the NorCal Buick Club and the California Chrysler Products Club were chatting about ways to make northern California car tours more fun.
They agreed that they’d like to go on each other’s tours. . .“It’s always great to see more cars touring.” So, we’d like to invite your club to join us on The CCPC’s first tour of 2012.
April 1, 2012 (Sunday) • JACK PASSEY CAR COLLECTION • WATSONVILLE
Your car club is invited to join with the CCPC, and other clubs, on a tour to Watsonville in the Bay Area.
This tour will be a back roads run to Watsonville area with a visit to famed collector Jack Passey. Jack is a noted authority on classic cars, having help developed fine collections for museums and private collectors. He has extended a personal invitation to view his personal collection in honor of long time member/friend Norm Frey (45 years in CCPC) for Norm's multiple contributions to preserving the history of Chryslers. Jack Passey's collection is a work of over 50 years of collecting and is housed in a multi floor garage. We will be driving back roads to Hecker Pass (Hwy 52), location of Jack's home. There will be a stop at Chitactc-Adams Heritage County Park for a short break/view/walk of the self-guided interpretive of the Ohlone Indians (petroglyphs, museum). This is a good run for our older, slower, Mopars as the speeds will be about 40 MPH or less. A lunch stop will follow our visit to Jack's
We gather at McDonalds at 105 Bernal Rd, San Jose at 8:30 AM.
Tour departs Mc Donalds at 9:00 heading out on Santa Teresa Blvd.
The Bernal Rd exit is Off Hwy 101 about 10 miles south of San Jose.
