ARE U LOOKING FOR A STOCK REPLACEMENT OR are u looking for a performance grind. New cores are not available! If you have the old cam u send it out to a cam company that can weld it up or regrind it. I sent my old cam out to delta cam and got a performance grind. they charge me $85 to regrind it and charged $15 for shipping to my door. I am real happy with it! rich in florida

Here is some information that you can use to help you - help any Cam Shaft
Maker/ Vendor ( all of this is original - unmodified - spec's ).
The Rear Axle Ratio - 3.7:1 ( yes there are options that were offered in 1956 ).
The 2 bbl Carburetor and single Muffler Engine has a Max Torque Reading of - 305@2800 RPM's ( This means the vehicle performs very good at 100 KPH
or if you pull a Vintage Camping Trailer ).
The Cam Shaft Intake Valve Lobe Rise is - 0.383 inch.
The Exhaust Rise is - 0.357 inch.
*
This is also the same for S-24 Engine Spec's
*
The S-23 Cam Shaft Valve Spec's are:
- Intake Opens 4 degrees ATDC
- Intake Closes 76 degrees ABDC
- Exhaust Opens 54 degrees BBDC
- Exhaust Closes 10 degrees ATDC
The Dual Exhaust and 4 bbl Carburetor S-24 Cam Spec's are"
- Intake Opens 15 degrees BTDC
- Intake Closes 57 degrees ABDC
- Exhaust Opens 49 degrees BBDC
- Exhaust Closes 15 degrees ATDC
Both engines have a 8.5:1 Compression Ratio.
You can supply The Vehicle's True Rolling Weight and The Size of Tires that you
