I have searched my entire maintenance manual and can't find anything about the brake lights or turn signals. I'm trying to get the car registered in California and I have to get a certificate that they are operational.

My "country" lights work and the headlights are working too.

Any suggestions?

Steve

From the left of this sceen is "Resoures". When
you click on it - it will shown a long list of De Soto
Volunteers. When you get to 1953 it shows ...

Have you spoken with him about this ?

I am not the '53 expert, but the first thing I'd do is clean all the connections especially the grounds.

Good Luck
Steve

Thanks for the responses.
I left Pete a message and I have cleaned up the wiring.
Still nothing....
Going to try cleaning again.
Thanks

Steve, I have a 53 and there is nothing special about these lights. Just make sure everything is clean and test the bulbs. I believe there is a flasher for the signals. That could be bad. If you still have nothing, the wiring will need to be checked.
