There are several engine bits and pieces that I've been needing for my car's latest "improvements". It would be great if anyone had these, or knew of someone who might:
- bracket for the power steering pump - for 1957 Firesweep 325 V-8 POLY
- original brackets and pulleys for the original, factory-installed AC system - for 1957 Firesweep 325 V-8 POLY
- "spacer" for the 6-blade radiator fan - for 1957 Firesweep 325 V-8 POLY
- double pulley for the water pump - for 1957 Firesweep 325 V-8 POLY
Any help will be most appreciated!
Rosemary, a lot of those parts are good parts to get from a salvage yard. They can be cleaned, primed, and painted. I do not recall any 57 DeSotos in the AZ salvage yard I have gone to before. So I would do a search on Texas salvage yards - they seem to have a lot of them. Maybe even check the one in Minnesota that the club visited during this years convention. Good luck.
Thanks, Paul.
I've been in contact with several car yards but no luck as of yet. Lots of Chevy/Ford stuff, but alas...
Did you ask over on the forwardlook site?
Yep; like the song says, "I've been everywhere, man, I've been everywhere...".
But I've not given up looking.
