FYI - in the Feb 2017 issue of Hemmings Classic Car there are three articles about De Soto Adventurers. The first one covers all five years of Adventurers, but does so in only three pages. And while it has photos of the '56 - '58 Adventurers, it has only drawings of the '59 and '60 Adventurers - I don't know why; I'm sure there are lots of photos of those cars out there.
The second article covers the De Soto concept cars, but in only two pages.
The third article is 6 pages about the '56 "Adventurer convertible". Since De Soto never made any Adventurer convertibles in 1956, this article is appropriately called "One-of-None". This car was made by Bob Schmidt of Branson, MO, from a '56 Adventurer and a '56 Fireflite convertible. This car, according to the article, is now owned by NDC member Len Foxman of Lighthouse Point, FL.
I just thought you might like to know about these articles just in case you do have some spare time during the winter to do some reading.
