I'm in need of an idler arm repair kit. These are easily found on eBay but the ones I'm most interested in are for a variety of '55 - '56 and '63 - '64 Chrysler built cars. Is there a reason these will not work for my '59?
There is one kit that is specific for year models '57 through '61 that has two nylon bushings and two flat washers with no bolt. If this is all I need, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
Your suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Fred

Hola Fred
Instead of looking at a 126 inch Wheel Base Chrysler and De Soto item,
look at a 122" Wheel Based Dodge item.
The Firesweep is a Dodge with De Soto bolted to it.
It is something that "showed up" in 1957.

Thanks Rodger,
I found what I needed and the bushing is the same for all the MoPars from that era.
Regards,
Fred
Update: Got the bushing on eBay and had it installed along with a wheel alignment. Much, much better steering now with virtually no wander. Tow-out was the major issue and now has the recommended 1/8 inch tow-in (bias ply tires) and the steering wheel is straight.
