Does anyone know how the gas tank is vented on a '57 Firesweep? Is it only through a vented gas cap, or is there a venting hose of some kind? Apparently there is no venting hose mentioned in the old parts books when it comes to the Firesweeps...not sure about the other models.

When you look down the filler neck of my car, it seems as though there is a smaller "tube within a tube" that is maybe for overfill/overflow purposes? But then, I might just be seeing things. I'm not sure if the Firesweep has a different, more "Dodge-like" system for venting the gas tank than do the other DeSoto models.

Thanks in advance for any info!
Rosy
