I recently purchased a fireflight painted and trimmed in Crimson Red & White. The data tag has paint code 371 which from what I can determine is two tone upper Black and lower Sunny Yellow (true?). Does this mean the roof was black, body yellow and center trim black or the inverse? Also, what does Trim code 562 indicate?

Thanks,
Ted

Ted,

The paint code 371 for a 56 Fireflite indicates that the lower body was Sunny Yellow and the top and color sweep was Jet Black. If the car did not have a color sweep, the roof would be black and the lower body would be yellow. Trim code 562 indicates the car was produced with gray leather and cloth trim.

Mac
