I have a 56 Adventurer that has a bunch of missing parts, one of which is the Distributor. I have found a guy parting out a 56 Imperial that has a dual point Distributor and am wondering if anyone can tell me if that is close enough to be compatible. My book tells me the Adventurer Distributor # is IBK4303 and the number for the Imperial Distributor is IBK4301A.

I also have a single point Distributor that I got off a 56 Fireflite. Can I put a dual point conversion kit in that Distributor and make it work on my car?

Thanks for any help.

Imperial won't work. Try 52-55 DeSoto if you insist on dual points or '56 DeSoto should work if single points are OK. Of course, the advance curve will need to be tweaked on any of these.

Have a nice day
Steve
