One of the chrome shops at the Puyallup CORVETTE HIGH PERFORMANCE swap meet Sat. had a complete 55 grille I exce. cond and sold it for $1,400 WOW.

On second thought...I would bet that it could cost more than that just to have the intricate '55 bumper re-chromed if a premium plater was used to produce concours-level results.
This old car biz is getting pricey. LOL 
i cant tell you the amount of times that people have offered to buy the grill from my 55 for, what i consider to be a substantial amount of money!
I have a nice '55. It mostly sits in my basement.
