On the outside portion of the rear door, does the weather strip (catwhiskers) on the window sill run continuously with the offest for the vent window or is the weather strip in two pieces? There was not enough existing matierail to tell how it is supposed to be. the offset is about 3/4" about 10" from the rear of the window. The insde weatherstrip is bent an follows the shall of the wndow sill.

Thanks

Mike DeLapp

From some images I can see online, it appears the 57 does not have the movalble quarter window in the reaar. the 56 has a quarter window that does a scissors action with the window as it is lowered. that's why the outside chrome trim has an offset to let the quarter window go down. Probably so many probalems in 56 that they re-designed it.

My 57 is a completely different body than yours. You'll need to find a 56 to compare.
