John

Welcome To The Site. From where are you based ?

Yes - The 1937 De Soto's are AirStream's

Babbit's ??? All De Soto ( and Plymouth's and Dodge's and Chrysler's )
Engines have Bearings at NAPA Auto Parts.

Welcome, John, on St. Paddy's Day...seems like you might have an Irish last name?

Do you own a '37? Tell us more about yourself! We like car photos too!

John,

I too welcome you to our site.

No - your 1937 De Soto is NOT an Airstream. For the 1937 production models (as well as the 1938 and 1961 production models), De Soto didn't use any type of model names such as Airstream, Airflow, Custom, DeLuxe, etc. The cars were known only by the body style. So your car would be a De Soto Coupe (aka, business coupe, or even businessman coupe), unless you have a rumble seat. Given how the 1937 De Soto models do look like the 1936 De Soto Airstream models, it's understandable that your car could be misidentified as a 1937 De Soto Airstream, but it's not.

John

As you can see I gave the average used names of the car to you. The
information given by Bill is The Proper Name vs a improper "slang name".

Do I know better - yes .
