Brent, my computer skills are very limited. I will have to find some little kid to show me how to post pictures. Check Fred Romans post on "what did you do with your DeSoto today" to get some pic's of the two groups making the trek out to the convention.
Our group, Rick and Jo Brinker, Bud and Shirley Tyler, Jerry Kadinger and partner Sue and Sue and I are in Tucumcari, NM tonight. The trip is going well. We missed a couple of things we wanted to see on the Route but for the most part we have done most of what we had planned.
We made a stop today and they told us we were only about 30 minutes behind the other group. But, we stopped in Tucumcari for the night and I think they are going on to Albuquerque so we will be about 175 miles behind them in the morning.
We did happen to meet Craig Lane in Odell, IL on Sunday then again in Cuba, MO on Monday and again in Acadia, OK yesterday.
We are seeing too much to begin to list it all here but we are having a great time. Les
Any feedback on how the cruise to the convention went?
It's supposed to be fun!
1949 De Soto Custom Convertible (project)
We have been collecting updates and photos from the very beginning.
While there will be some space available in the "Convention Issue" (September/October) of our De Soto Adventures magazine, we plan to cover the "trek" more fully in our November/December issue along with a sneak peak of our 33rd gathering in Branson next summer.
Although, I was sad not to have been with you all, I had a great "vicarious" trip with all of the communications shared with me.
God Bless You All !!
Geoff
