Unregistered users may browse the website, but in order to participate in the forums and view select pages (such as "Club Contacts" and "Classified Ads") a user account is required. Notify the webmaster of your user name preference (Johnathon Doe vs. John Doe, etc.), preferred email address, and password request.
The NDC maintains a 1960 DeSoto registry of known cars. You can contact Jim who manages that to see if he has any history on your car. You can find his email here: www.desoto.org/1960-2
Since Pennsylvania is near Maryland, I would reach out to our very active Maryland chapter of the NDC and see if anyone knows the car. You can contact them through the email listed here: www.desoto.org/chapters
If neither of those yield anything, you can place a free "Information Wanted" ad in the magazine. I would include all of the information about the car you provided here, along with a photo if that can be accepted. Instructions for placing ads and deadlines can be found in every magazine you receive.
If you have not already, you should Google search the serial number (VIN) to see if it was listed online for sale at any other time.
Lastly, I also recommend reaching out to Chrysler Historical to request a free copy of your build card. They will also tell you the original dealer's name and location if known. All information for ordering that can be found here: www.desoto.org/historical
Thanks, i did send email to Maryland chapter.
